This SPT is not very romantic but last night it came to mind. I love it when you: Put the kids to bed. For some reason bed time is quite a trying time for me. Probably because when bed time comes around I am ready for them to be in bed, and not ready for the process of putting them to bed (putting on p.j.'s, getting water, reading books, brushing teeth, whining, saying prayers, going back in because covers have mysteriously fallen off). Usually bed time is a collaborative effort between my husband and I, but occasionally one person takes it over. And when that one person is my husband, I do truly love it.

I love when my husband does the nighttime routine. One less things to fight with the kids over that day.

Ditto! Karl does the whole bedtime routine, bath, pj's, brush teeth, etc. Then I come in a read the story and put Tyler to bed. For some reason the routine just wears me out :-) Great SPT!
Sweet picture! I hate the routine. I am usually the one who has to put Eli to bed because if Steve does it he wants Steve to lay down with him.
Definitely romantic. That photo is a treasure! I love it when my husband gives me a break, too.

Yes, bedtime. Bedtime is a daddy-job at my house, too. And I also love it. (By 8 pm I am soooo done.)

I sometimes don't think daddy's know how much that little moment of one on one with our kids mean to the little ones or us.

I totally get that, bedtime can sometimes be the last straw for the day and if he can see that it is such a relief. What a great guy you have.
