Romeo & Juliet & Zombies

This years school play was a thrilling and entertaining adaptation of Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet, titled, "Romeo and Juliet and Zombies." The basic premise was that Juliet and Romeo could not be together because Romeo was a zombie and Juliet was not. It was all around hilarious.
After months of after school practicing it was finally performance time!

With slight differences they basically had the same set as last year:

My Megan played the part of Tybalt, who is hot-tempered, antagonistic and is Romeo's main rival.

Hanging at a party:

Being antagonistic and hot-tempered towards the King:

After a bit of discord, the party performs Michael Jackson's "Thriller":

Peace doesn't last for long before Tybalt causes more trouble with Benvolio:

Soon, Mercutio steps in to fight off Tybalt:

But.....Tybalt overpowers Mercutio and kills her!:

This does not sit well with Romeo who then fights Tybalt and defeats my Megan:

After the death, lots of other stuff happens, and finally crescendos to a point where we discover Romeo and Juliet do in fact end up together.

The final bows:

Megan is one talented little chica.

He's A Wolf Now

Jackson had another big moment in the world of Scouts! Last week he was awarded his Wolf badge AND earned two arrow points.
Accepting his new honor:

The pinning!

My favorite part!

And then it was time for my second favorite part: The Cheer! In this instance the black cat cheer:

His pack also performed "Old McDonald Had A Farm" during pack meeting.

Jackson and his fellow pack members:

In other Scouting related news, Jackson also participated in his first Cub Scout Day Camp last weekend.

He had to make some sort of container to hold an egg that would prevent if from breaking when dropped during the egg drop competition. He was insistent on using peanut butter, so Eric and  Jackson encased the egg in bubble wrap and then placed peanut butter all around it. Happily it worked and his egg remained intact!

We have had beautiful, beautiful weather. But last Saturday was windy and cold! Luckily Jackson was having too much fun to notice it much.

Performing a song during closing ceremonies:

Friends:

Jackson loves being a Scout.

Sadie Face

I take approximately 1000 pictures of Sade a week. Or so it seems. So a bit of a Sadie Cake catch up.
Sade also takes approximately 1000 pictures of herself every week. They all look like this:

2. Sade and Eric while hiking. She refused to smile until we mentioned that ice cream may be in her future:

Success:

3. She continues to be a fan of these glasses:

Who can blame her?

4. An afternoon spent chillin' in the baby swing:

5. Me and Baby Sade:

We were at a store the other day and Sade mentioned to me in a surprised voice, "I don't even feel angry inside today!?"

Well that's good.

6. Eric fell asleep in Sadie's bed a couple of weeks ago, so she took the opportunity to take these pictures:

Pretending sleep:

7. Lastly, Sade and Tucker. Friends:

Happy Weekending!
