Idaho Day 1 - Snake River

Every time I go somewhere with perfect summer weather I have to remind myself that it isn't perfect 9 months out of the year and that I am grateful I live in Vegas in January. Because let me tell you, Burley/Twin Falls seems like a perfect place to live. The summer weather is gorgeous and there is a river right outside your front door. Heavenly.

On the way home from City of Rocks we briefly stopped at the Snake River to check it out:

12 X 12 - August 2014

Last Tuesday (the 12th) was a pretty low key day. I have seemingly lost all motivation to leave the house so the majority of the day was spent at home.

I woke up to this sight. Sade spends a lot of time on her head:

After I left my room, Sade, Jackson and Tucker descended onto my bed. They enjoy jumping/wrestling, etc. I basically allow it:

Morning otter pop. They all have one around 9:30 am each day:

Clean up time! Jackson is THE SLOWEST DISHWASHER EMPTIER IN THE WORLD!

After cleaning the house we headed to the backyard for our daily swimming time. There was A LOT of fighting/splashing/arguing going on. Why can't they all just get along?

After swimming we came back inside to get ready for the day (me). Sade immediately changed into pajamas (she wears at least 3 pairs a day) and then her and Jackson got down to some game playing. Dominoes and Old Maid were on the agenda:

After getting ready, and after Eric got home we headed out for dinner and to do some school shoe shopping. Megan patiently waiting for all of us to leave the house:

Non successful, blurry car selfie. It was the best we could do:

Dinner at Zaba's.

(Sade is making that face on purpose).

After dinner we attempted (unsuccessfully) to find good running/school shoes for Jackson. But I did catch this so cute picture of Eric and Sade while Eric was on the phone. Check out cute Sade's hand on Eric's.

Low key, nice day.

24th of July - 2014

I quite enjoyed this years 24th of July celebration. We continued our tradition of eating before we come (life changing) and arriving around 7 (also life changing).

We lost Megan to her friends upon arrival, but I managed to keep ahold of Jackson and Sade for a little longer. Sade for the entire night, and Jackson for about 30 minutes before he too found all of his friends.

Events:

Both Jacks and Sade enjoyed the bull riding. It was fun to watch.

We managed to meet up with Jackson and Megan and their friends right before the fireworks started. We so miss these friends that have moved away.

Although you can't adequately tell by the pictures, I thought the fireworks were particularly awesome this year. I was amazed.

I'm so glad that so many people who have moved out of the stake continue to come for pioneer days. It is just so darn good to see everyone.

Oldies

I'm kind of obsessed with the Oldify app. It's endlessly entertaining.
