Hiking Lone Mountain

On Veteran's Day the kids and I hiked Lone Mountain. It's a fairly short hike BUT an extremely steep one.

As he has the most endurance, we put Jackson in charge of carrying the backpack full of water bottles: 

Soon Jackson and Sadie were way ahead of me and Megan: 

They were so far ahead they looked like little ants up on the mountain: 

We made it to the top!

It's was a perfect day (weather wise) and the view was perfect too: 

We spent quite a bit of time analyzing all of the houses we could see, and picking out which one we wanted to live in: 

Truly Megan is not that much taller than me, but it looks like she towers over me in this picture:
