Five For Friday - All About A Certain 5 Year Old

Random pics of Sade. Some Instagram, some not.
1. Modeling various head adornments from Sonic:

2. Enjoying a cool fan at The Home Depot:

3. Cart contentment at Target:

4. I wrote on Instagram, "Having a child who enjoys cleaning (except for her room!) is pure bliss:

5. Also from Instagram, "When she orders broccoli for dinner it makes me doubt that she is even my kid. Gag. #mymosthatedfood

Eric responded, "Definitely my child! I especially love that she started ordering her own instead of eating all of mine."

It still grosses me out.

Girls Camp 2013

My Meg just finished up her first ever week at Girls Camp. She wasn't nervous at all to go, just really excited.
Ready to head up to the mountain:

Friends:

They had new permanent tents set up this year. Megan said they were nice, but just really crowded with 10 girls plus all their luggage:

I was so worried that she would be too cold, but she reported back that it wasn't too bad, except for one night.

The rope bridge:

Hanging upside down:

The rock wall:

Hiking:

The group on the mountain:

Megan says her favorite parts were being with her friends, the zip-line and the rope bridge. By the last day she reported that she was ready to come home and we were all ready for it to. We missed our little Meggie.

Primary Carnival

A few weeks ago the Young Women and Young Men put on a carnival for all of the Primary kids.

 Complete with bouncy houses:

Water slides:

And lots of carnival games:

The look of concentration:

Megs ran the fishing game:

These next pictures illustrate how much better Eric's phone camera is than mine.

Eric's:

You can see individual drops of water!

Mine:

Blurry mess!

I am quite positive it is not user error, but rather stems from the water damage it suffered. It is a bitter pill for me to swallow as the main reason I wanted the new iPhone was because of the excellent camera. Sad face emoticon.

Summer So Far....

Although swim team, swim lessons, and girls camp have kept us busy, we have been able to squeeze in a few fun adventures.
Like Flip - n - Out!

The kids and I haven't been there for months, so I was surprised to see a few changes. Namely they have a section blocked off for kids 5 and under, and they have added a basketball hoop, which of course thrilled Jackson.

As previously mentioned we also visited the Children's Museum. We have been 3 times now and my kids still love it.

Jackson crazy dancin':

Sade is just about as good as pull-ups as I am. Which is not at all.

This was the favorite exhibit of the day. The kids spent a good amount of time putting various body parts (with cuts on them) under the microscope and grossing us out.

We did a little swimming at Nancy's:

And a lot of swimming at Wet - n - Wild!

We have only been 3 times, but I wrote of Facebook that it is hard for me not to go every day. If only real life didn't get in the way!

We all love it. Except Sadie. Since she is big enough to ride all the slides, I force her to go on them with me. These next 2 pictures accurately portray her mood each time we are on our way there:

While waiting in line for every ride there are tears, but I'm hard core and force it on her anyway. But once we are there, and have ridden a few rides, she comes around and has a fun time just like the rest of us.

Wet - n - Wild is better with friends.

My kids have been wanting to go to the Hollywood pool. Anyone else want to go one afternoon?
