Sunday morning! I somehow always feel rushed, but am unwilling to get up any earlier!
After my shower, my first stop was Sade's closet. The lucky girl has bajillions of clothes:
Mostly because of generous friends and an older sister who bequiffed them to her.
Jackson put on his pee-ewe church socks, while Sadie climbed on his bed. She remarked, "Look Mom, I am a Ninja Warrior Champion!" Which is a reference you will understand if you watched "American Ninja Warrior" this summer:
Eric didn't have a meeting Sunday morning so he was there to help get everyone ready. Which was a good thing because I have no idea how to tie a tie:
I am not a sweets lover, but I do have one mammoth weakness: Hostess Donut Gems! I bought some at Smith's last week, and have proceeded to have them every single morning. One morning I even locked myself in my room so I didn't have to share any with the kids:
Here I am before church:
I am hoping to change my hair up this week, but am stymied on what to do. Color, cut? What do you think? Seriously. I am asking for advice!
Sade sat right in front of me in Primary, which I loved. My very favorite part of being in there is watching her. I get so excited when I see her called up to the front.
My class was small and hyper yesterday. Lots of energy. Try not to judge my teeny-tiny game board. I was pressed for time:
I am sure I have mentioned before that the two chores I despise are laundry and unloading the dishwasher. I still do the laundry, but this summer I put Megan and Jackson in charge of the dishwasher. It is glorious! Yesterday was Jackson's turn:
The kids spent the majority of the afternoon alternately playing in their rooms, playing on the computer, and playing the Wii. I spent the afternoon organizing and deep cleaning my room. One of the exciting parts of my room cleaning was finding room in my closet for the three pairs of shoes I purchased last week!
Like Hostess Donut Gems, I also have a weakness for shoes. But my frugalness supersedes my shoe weakness, so I generally will only buy them if they are cheap. I say generally because I paid full price for the Toms. But, the other two pairs I purchased for a combined $20 at Plato's closet. Which I just heard about last week!!! It is a used clothing store that only sells brand name merchandise. It is like a whole new world has opened up to me. We bought me two pairs of shoes, Eric two shirts, Megan one shirt, and Jackson a hat. I kind of want to go back every day.
Eric had to go to work after church. He has been CRAZY busy and I am pretty sure has worked every day for the past two or three weeks. The kids received him home warmly, as usual:
For dinner we had pasta carbonara, fruit and muffins. Weird combination?
After dinner the kids went out to play. Sadie is a seriously good cart-wheeler. The best in the family:
We spent the rest of the evening watching a little T.V. and playing a few games. Low-key Sunday.
