Soccer 2011

Well, another season of soccer has ended. And I say just in time! The last 2 weeks have been too cold for me and my wimpiness!

Introducing: The Sand Team (how original)

I have to say that Megan was PRETTY DARN AWESOME this year. If I had to describe her awesomeness in one word it would be hustle:

She was always right in the thick of it, and scored multiple goals.

Jackson's team was the Leopards:

Jackson was also his awesome little self, scored a few goals, and always tried his hardest. He is great at teamwork, and is a master at passing the ball. He never wants to take a break, and would play the entire game if he could. This year there were a few kids who were quite a bit older, bigger, and faster than him, so he had a harder time scoring than he has in years past.

Until next season!

Nevada State Museum

Saturday we went to the Nevada State Museum. It is now located right next to the Springs Preserve (they opened 6 days ago), and you get in free if you are a Springs Preserve member! We were also going to go to the Springs Preserve, but they closed at 3 for a special event. The nerve!!!!

It was a bit bright:

The museum is pretty cool and informative. They have a number of interactive displays:

This display was a favorite:

Sadie, Jackson, and I attempted to put together some puzzles:

But soon had to call Megan over to impart her puzzle solving prowess on us:

Sadie becoming more informed about atomic bombs:

When Sadie saw this beaver, she shouted, "Look it's Justin Beaver!"

Earlier that day Megan asked her if she even knew what Justin Beiber looked like. Sadie said ,"Of course. He is a beaver, who sings, and wears people clothes." Megan then attempted to show her a picture of him on the computer. Sadie refused and said, "No, I might fall in love with him. Or he might try and kiss me." Oh vey!

Halloween - Class Parties

I promise that this will be my last post about Halloween. Sadie had two pre-school Halloween parties this year. Which was great, because it felt like I really got my money's worth out of her costume. The first was at Kiddie College:

I maintain that 3 year-olds are beyond cute:

Her second was at her "friend" pre-school.

More cuteness:

They painted:

Played games:

And Miss Sade was decorated like a mummy:

Too much adorableness:

I wore my Elf costume to Jackson's party, and was hoping to see Megan so I could thoroughly embarrass her, but alas, she was nowhere to be found :(. She, on the other hand, was quite relieved.

2nd graders are pretty cute too:

His class painted pumpkins, played games and ate. A Lot.

Four For Friday - Random Picture Re-Cap

Although I am still not finished recapping Halloween!, I am taking a break to document a few random pictures.

1. Sadie posing for the camera (her first love):

2. Sadie getting dressed for her "wedding":

Lately she has been concerned about who is going to marry, and asks me who she should look for, and how she will find him. It's hilarious. I never pictured myself getting married, and Megan was never (and still isn't)  interested in the topic, so it is a new conversation for me to have.

She made sure to tell me to get a picture of her with her veil down:

3. Groucho glasses provide quite a bit of entertainment. I count my blessings they were invented.

4. For the past few years, at least a couple of days a week, Sade has been crawling into my bed around 3am.  But about a month ago, she stopped. I thought she was sleeping through the night, but instead found out Eric and I have been replaced.

Megan hasn't minded. Yet.
