It must be said that we had a very boring spring break. Eric started his new job the Monday spring break started (Woo-Hoo!!!), and I didn't really want to take the kids anywhere myself, so we stayed home. We pretty much organized closets, cleaned the house, played video games, watched T.V., and occasionally ventured out of the house to attempt fun. And I say attempt because no one ever really seemed to have a great time. Apparently we were in a Spring Break funk.
The first day of Spring Break Sade woke up sick. Real sick. I ran her to Instacare where we quickly received a strep throat diagnosis.
She threw up ALL OVER the Dr. 5 minutes after this pic was taken:
Happily the antibiotics worked way fast, and she woke up the next morning fever free and feeling just fine!
Other adventures.
We went and saw Rio 2.
Those Cannery seats really are so, so great. Eric and I had to see Divergent at the Aliante theaters (because of timing) and I couldn't even concentrate on the movie because I was so upset I wasn't reclining.
We also made our first visit to Wet - n - Wild of the year. It was warm, but not quite yet warm enough for us to get in the wave pool or lazy river. But the slides were fine.
This was mid-week when we were still in our funk, so our visit was a bit lackluster and we were all ready to leave after a couple of hours. It will be much more fun this summer with friends!
We did make it over to Craig Ranch Park one afternoon. I love having it so close and we spend many an evening there walking Tucker:
The highlight of the week for both Megan and Jackson was probably the parties they were able to attend:
A pool party for Megan:
And a birthday party for Jackson:
Spring break actually made me nervous for summer break. The kids and I all do better when we are busy and I don't have much planned. Any ideas?
