Adventures In Logan - Willow Park Zoo

After our adventure in Burley, Idaho the kids and I left to spend a few days in Logan, Utah (my hometown and favorite place to visit in the summer!). First on the agenda was a trip to Willow Park "Zoo". (notice the quotation marks). Not so much a zoo, but rather a place to house many birds and the occasional "wild animal" (like deer).

Wild animal sightings:

Bird feeding:

Pictures of Jackson. Sometimes I can't help myself.

General playing:

Wimp and Sadie would be two words never used in the same sentence:

My mom is fun:

Although the pictures don't show it, it was a HOT afternoon. I prefer the weather to be in the 80's when I visit Logan not the high 90's. Is that too much to ask?

Adventures In Logan - Logan Pool

Jackson's main request for our trip was that we go to the Logan City Pool/Waterpark. Of course I obliged.

Slide riding:

Diving board jumping/flipping/diving:

Megan decided to try and teach Sade how to dive. I find the picture results to be hilarious:

Freedom!

Summer come back!

Adventures In Logan - Logan Temple

The Logan Temple is plain old picturesque. Seriously. The kids, my mom and I spent a while one afternoon admiring the beauty.

Sade looks happy in this picture but she was decidedly unhappy and hot for most of the afternoon:

She perked up in the shade:

Adventures In Logan - USU

I always try to take my kids up to Utah State University to walk around whenever we are in town.  On this trip we were determined to buy USU t-shirts but the selection was decidedly TERRIBLE, so we left empty handed. Apparently the new fall t-shirts were not due to arrive for another month so they only had leftover stock (i.e. the stuff no one wants to buy).

Future Aggies?

I'm so grateful to have grown up in a college town.
