Legoland - Day 1

I realize it has been ages since we went to Legoland, but I am just now getting around to posting about it. We only had 2 days to explore all of Legoland, the waterpark, and the aquarium, so each day was pretty chuck full of stuff.

As soon as we entered the park (through our special private entrance at the Sheraton! That's right we were totally cool!), we foolishly first went to a few rides that got you soaken wet. Did I mention it was cold? Live and learn.

Relaxation time was soon over, as Sade demonstrated her sub-par boat driving skills, by continually ramming into the barriers. She thought it was pretty funny.

Eric gets sick on the rides that go around in circles, which means I get to go on all of them with the kids! Woo-hoo! They are my favorite. Seriously. I love them.

Oh, Sadie, Sade. She was a bit of a nightmare. We forced her onto every ride that she was big enough to go on. And this was her reaction every single time:

But then......half to three-quarters of the way through, she would realize she was actually having a good time, and would stop screaming. Then ask to ride again. Did I mention this happened on every ride?!

Not only does she excel at fit-throwing, but she also has super-human strength:

We all built our own Lego cars, and then raced them. Sadie (and Eric) were the big winners:

Before leaving we visited mini-land, and the new Star Wars exhibit:

It was a pretty fabulous first day. But be forewarned: If you go to Legoland anytime other than the summer months, they close at 5 pm. Which makes it a bit difficult to see everything. But the upside was that it wasn't very busy at all. We only had to wait a few minutes to get on all of the rides.
