She gave a truly awesome speech, and.........
She lost by 5 votes (insert frowny face here).
She lost to a 4th grader, named Page, who had the ingenious slogan, Vote For Page It's All The Rage. Very catchy. Page also pledged better lunches and longer recesses. Empty promises.
Luckily Megan is not all that sad about it, and is just happy she is still in Student Council. I'm very proud of Megan and the other 10 candidates who ran for President. I wish I had their self-confidence.

Awesome Megan!! Atleast you had the guts to go for it. Nothing is ever gained if you don't have the guts to try. I tried to talk CJ into running but he had no desire. Way to go Megs!! I would have voted for you!!
Hey Megan will go much farther in life sticking by her word (not empty promises). The true colors will come out when kids are eating their sucky lunches and recess hasn't changed. Way to go Megan ~ You are awesome!
Way to go Megan. I think the empty promises are so lame. I almost wish an adult would say "um...that is not possible". I am sure it would changed a lot of elections. :)
If only Megan had passe M&M's out. She would have won by a landslide! What a brave girl, Good job Megan!!!
I agree with Melissa-a teacher should let all the kids know that it will never happen. Next time Megan should say...if you vote for me I will give you a million dollars! Then Page would be in a Rage and walk off the Stage!!!
