I've Been Waiting

I have been waiting for something for over 12 years. Something that I have been searching for, longing for, and wishing for. Yesterday if finally once again entered my life and I feel like I am now complete. It is:

"Egg Chicken Noodle Dinner"

This is my absolute favorite food. The last time I remember being able to eat it I was a Freshman in college. Shortly thereafter it disappeared from the grocery store shelves. For years, that's right years, I would search grocery stores in many different towns, hoping to find it. But much to my dismay I never did. Those of you that know me, know that I have some strange food obsessions, so when one of those leaves my life, I go into mourning. Last week, without much hope I decided to once again go searching for it. And miracle of miracles I found it. I have searched for it before on the internet and never found it, but this time I discovered a group of people just like myself who were also missing "Egg Chicken Noodle Dinner" and they were able to lead me to a site to buy it. Isn't that just the best news?

WOW Sarah...such dedication over a box of food! When am I coming over for lunch to try this delicacy? You really crack me up! Must be tasty if there is a following. Is there a monthly club that you guys all get together and chat about it?

Hum, I've never even heard of this box 'o' fun :-) I am very impressed at all of the searching you have done...and been successful! Congrats! So, what's the site? (forgive me if it's on this post...it's 1:17am, I have to wake up in 6 hours, and I don't know why I am blog surfing)

LOL I saw an article on msn.com a few weeks back about foods that companies quit making that people wanted back. I remembered some of them. One was Planter's cheese balls. I had forgotten they existed, but they are in a picture of Ben holding Brenden as a newborn. LOL Guess Ben was burning the midnight cheese that day.... LOL

Congratulation on being reunited with your lost love. I am very happy for the two of you. I just have to ask, does it really taste that wonderful, or is it the memories that the food has attached to it? Either way, I am glad that the two of you are back together. You deserve to be happy!
