Megan has not moved from the couch in 6 days. She still has a fever, no energy, no appetite, a sore throat, and a terrible cough. This morning she woke up said she felt better and felt like doing something. I suggested taking a shower, which she did, but it zapped all of her energy. She went back to the couch and eventually fell asleep. A while later I was cleaning the bathtub when I heard something. It was Megan crawling on her hands and knees coughing, wheezing, and trying to tell me she could not breathe. I have been lucky that me kids have been fairly healthy and haven't ever experienced this before. I ran to get the phone and just as I was going to call 911, I could hear her breathing again. So we ran out the door and went to
QuickCare (again). It was packed but when I told them she was having breathing issues, they got us right in. They gave her a steroid shot to open up her airway and had a breathing treatment. They also gave me an antibiotic (since the Dr. said that a virus doesn't usually have a fever this long), some cough medicine, and some breathing treatments to do at home. I am so glad she finally has some medicine, but am also so frustrated that it had to take this long. I totally understand not
over-prescibing antibiotics, but I really wish she could have had them earlier. I hope she turns the corner soon.

Oh, that is so scary. I hate scary parenting moments. I don't like feeling helpless. I hope she is feeling better soon!
I hate breathing problems, they are so scary! I hope she starts feeling better very soon!
So sad for poor Megan! Usually at Quick Care they ask me what prescription I want...they seem to write scripts freely there!
I hope this gets her feeling better!
So scary! Poor little girl, I hope she starts feeling better soon!
Poor Megan, it's not fun being sick like that. Kids usually bounce back pretty easily - you know that they are REALLY sick when they have been on the couch that long. Glad that you guys are on the uphill swing.
Poor meggie!! Get better soon okay!!
Not cool. Poor little thing. I hope she starts feeling better soon.
