I may not have been extremely busy in the days leading up to Halloween, but Halloween day was a whirlwind.
I started off the day by attending the THREE HOUR Kindergarten Halloween party. Cheryl and I had found out about this party that was supposed to be happening 2 days before Halloween and had to quickly throw it together. Entertaining 25 kids for 3 hours ain't no joke.
Sadie and Mr. Cohen:
There were 4 other girls in her class dressed up like cheerleaders too!
We read Halloween stories, sang Halloween songs, decorated cookies, ate treats, crafted, and played NUMEROUS games.
I then had a 2 hour break before heading back to school for the much more manageable (time wise) 1 hour and 15 minute 4th grade party.
They played Halloween Bingo, pin the face on the pumpkin, wrapped each other like mummy's, got to feel lots of gross stuff and guess what it was, and ate lots and lots of treats.
Man I feel lucky to be able to do these things with my kids.

What a day! I was very annoyed with the kinder team not figuring out their plans in advance. I planned Tyson's party 3 weeks in advance and am right now working on the Thanksgiving party. Gotta love 1st time teachers! How nice of you and Cheryl to whip that party up. You guys rock!
Eli didn't even have a party! Shock! Hopefully next year he will have a fun and organized teacher!
